Drytac worked with a high-profile retail client to create custom window graphic films for use in an eye-catching storefront display.
Drytac, the leading international manufacturer of self-adhesive materials for the large-format print and signage markets and a provider of customized solutions to meet the specific needs of its clients, recently worked with a leading clothes retailer to enhance storefront windows across the globe.
The Challenge
The customer, a leading clothes retailer with shops in countries around the world, was seeking a blue pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) material that it could use to cut out letters and various designs to apply to storefront windows.
The client approached Drytac as the project in question had a tight deadline of just three weeks to complete, and the customer had not been able to secure its usual material from overseas within this timeframe.

The Solution
Drytac coated several drawdown samples of its 3-mil clear PET with a blue tinted adhesive and sent to the customer for approval. The client soon signed off on the samples, after which Drytac scaled up production at its North American manufacturing facility to meet the volume and date requirements.
Impressed with this initial solution, the customer asked if Drytac could create a similar product – but this time in orange – within the same timeframe.
For this second solution, the orange needed to be opaquer than the blue material. As such, Drytac tinted and coated both sides of a white PET film to create an orange, opaque material ready to be used as cut out letters and designs on storefront windows.
Drytac was able to successfully complete the entire process, from concept through to supplying the production material, within the tight, three-week timeframe.
