Drytac® is delighted to announce the global launch of Polar® Grip, a new display material with a unique high-bond adhesive.
As a leading international manufacturer of self-adhesive materials for the print, label and industrial markets, Drytac has developed Polar Grip for applications that require excellent flexibility and high-bond adhesion.
This new global addition to the Polar range is ideal for signs and displays on low surface energy substrates, decals on machine equipment, printed graphics on curved products – such as motorcycle helmets – and even for use on coarse surfaces including brick and concrete walls. It is available in both matte and gloss finishes, providing options for a wide range of applications.
Shaun Holdom, Global Product Manager at Drytac, comments: “Polar Grip is an exciting development, providing a durable option for tough environments both indoors and out.
“It works brilliantly on both smooth surfaces and on porous substrates including brick and concrete. Polar Grip has a thicker adhesive layer than most self-adhesive vinyls, that provides a tighter grip on porous materials.”
Drytac Polar Grip is a 3.2 mil (80μ) premium white polymeric PVC film with a pressure-sensitive grey acrylic adhesive that offers exterior and interior durability for up to five years, in surface temperatures from -45°C to 110°C (-49°F to 230°F).
Polar Grip vinyl is available in widths up to 60 inches (1,524mm) and is compatible with eco-solvent, latex and UV printing technologies. Its maximum life expectancy can be met using an overlaminate such as Drytac WipeErase® Clear or Interlam™ Pro. Polar Grip can also be used for floor graphics with the addition of a slip-certified overlaminate such as Drytac’s Interlam Emerytex®, globally or Protac™ Scuffguard™, in Europe.
